How long is a Tabata workout?
A Tabata round is 4 minutes, 8 exercises performed at your max for 20 seconds and 10 seconds rest. You need to go all out, I mean all out, maximum effort for 20 seconds. It is important to push yourself as that’s where you see all the benefits. I started with two rounds, right now I am doing 5 rounds, and the last round is more than a struggle.
Can I do a Tabata workout if I’m new to exercise?It is not the easiest way to start your journey and you should familiarise yourself with the exercises first to avoid injury and start at a lower intensity and work your way up.
